BMW bikes to come out in Iran
TEHRAN – BMW Group has issued a license to make two of its motorcycle brands in Iran.
This is the first time production of BMW motorbikes is permitted in another country, said Ali Nuriani, whose company is the German group’s sole representative here. “We’ve been granted the license to manufacture F650 GS and Dakar bikes,” he implied. However, Nuriani pointed out that the Iranian Ministry of Industries and Mines should approve the license. “Then, we will start with importation of completely knocked down (CKD) parts.”
